We're beyond exciting to announce that we will be hosting two dance workshops in Brigus over the summer on July 20th and August 24th as part of the DanceNL NL Moves workshop series.

On July 20th Tendai Mudunge aka Mr. T & Bethany Green will teach an all levels "Intro to Bachata" dance workshop from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the Recreation Center complete with a mini performance at the end of the class.

The goal would be to introduce participants to the basics of the dance and to get everyone grooving the afternoon away!

Bachata is a latin style social dance which involves footwork, partner work, turns and body movements originating from the Dominican Republic and it continues to evolve into many different styles which are now danced all over the world.

On August 24th Michelle Mudunge; TK Paul & Tinoe Matsika will teach an all levels "Intro to Afro dance" workshop from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the Recreation Center complete with a mini performance at the end of the class.

The goal would be to introduce participants to the basic technique, footwork and body movements of the different afro dance styles commonly danced in Africa at social and community gatherings!

Afro dance involves using total body articulation to interpret musical and movements from different styles from the diverse cultures across Africa which continues to evolve into many different styles which are now danced all over the world.

The cost for participating will be $10 per session for non DanceNL members and $5 per session for DanceNL members.
 
NL Moves is a series of 2 hours dance workshops facilitated by Dance NL for anyone who would would like to learn dance. The goal of this series is to expose people to various dance genres, increase wellness and physical activity.
